How long have you lived in Katy?          
Since Aug., 1985, or 23 years

What do you do at The Arc of Katy?    
I am the secretary, and I was part of the group that established the Day Camp in Feb., 2005, and among the first group of teachers for about a year and a half.  Now I just sub, or volunteer.

How long have you worked for The Arc of Katy?
For sure, since 2004

What drew you to this work?      
Having a daughter with Down's Syndrome and wanting to help provide a better life for her.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?
How much the young adults enjoy their gatherings!

What are your biggest challenges?    
Funding now and for the future, and doing the right thing to help our daughter.

Which "wish list" item do you deem most important and why?      
Having a "Brookwood" here in Katy for our community to serve the varied needs of so many that are not met.  We want a good living and working environment for our loved ones now and especially after we're gone.
