First Annual Barn Dance

The Arc of Katy is holding its first Barn Dance this year! We are expecting more than 200 participants! Money raised at the event will expand the current Day Program and help to provide additional programs and better services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Arc of Katy is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that has been serving people in Katy and surrounding areas for more than 20 years and needs your help to make this fundraiser a success.
Here's how you can help:
- Underwriters are needed to help with expenses involved in putting on this event. All underwriters will have their name printed on the special edition t-shirts, a banner displayed at the event and on all printed materials. The deadline for t-shirts and banners is October 14, 2011.
- Individual Dancer - Collect a minimum of $25 in donations and receive a special edition t-shirt; raise at least $100 and receive a chance on an IPAD; each additional $100 donated will provide an additional chance on the IPAD.
- Team Competition - Put a team together (at least two dancers, non-dancers or any combination) and collect donations of at least $25 per team member to receive a special edition t-shirt. An Arc of Katy client will be matched with each team, who then raises money for their "Team Boss" prior to the Dance. The Arc of Katy client with most money donated to The Arc of Katy by his/her team will be named "2011 Dance Champion" and receive a special award. The teams raise money through sponsors, donations, fund raising events, and underwriters.
- Volunteers - Don't want to dance but want to help? Sign up to be a volunteer at the event. Collect a minimum of $25 in donations and receive a special edition t-shirt.
